How to set a Phonics Shed assignment
Below are instructions for both versions of the EdShed website ...
For the new EdShed website...
1. Choose whether to set the assignment for a group or a selection of pupils.
2. Select your pupils/group. If you don't want to set this for your whole class, we recommend setting up subgroups within your group page to make this easier.
3. Choose your 'Phonics' from the subject you are setting.
4. Click "Single Assignment" and "Practice".
5. Choose the content of your assignment, either a phonics game or ebook.
6. Click the "Limit options" field if you want to limit pupils to only seeing what you have set.
7. Remember to set this number to zero if you want to lock pupils to what you have set or put a minimum number of games they must play here before the rest of the screen unlocks.
8. Set the start and end date of your assignment.
9. Add a title and any other teachers who need to view this.
For the old EdShed site ...
Go to the 'assignments' section of the website.
1. Click ' Create' and select 'Single assignment'.
2. Select the type of assignment you want to set - either Phonics Shed Game or Phonics Shed Book
3. Choose whether you would like to 'limit options' which will mean that the pupils only see your assignment and not the rest of the game screen.
4. Then add the pupils you would like to give the assignment to, click 'next' and add any teacher you would like to be able to view the assignment.
