Different pupil names showing

You may notice that pupils appear with different display names on the school and class league tables. This is a safeguarding feature we have put in place so that pupils' real names cannot be seen when our products are used outside of the classroom.

This also applies to Hive games where users can use the Hive code to invite their friends to play a game with them, this may include friends they have from another school who would be able to see all of the participants' names.

Using a pseudonym stops anyone creating an account with an inappropriate or offensive username too.

Teachers are able to edit the display names so that you can tell who’s who either manually by going into each individual pupil account and clicking the pencil button.
